Every year, we spark the imagination of 800,000 kids through award-winning programs that bring the magic of summer camp to their vacation experience. Our partnerships with Dr. Seuss®, Build-a-Bear®, and Zumbini® enchant kids with unique activities. And as the first cruise line in the industry to incorporate KultureCity®, we give all camp staff special needs training to make sure every child is included in the fun.

What You'll Be Doing Onboard

You will work with children ages 6 months to 11 years in our kids program, Camp Ocean®. You will host age appropriate activities while ensuring the children’s safety and security.

Penguin®: Ages 2-5

From being a Pirate on the 7 seas, to a Penguin dashing through the ice, to the world of Dinosaurs you’ll inspire our mini cruiser’s imaginations by running themed activities and much more.

Stingrays®: Ages 6-8

Arts and Crafts, Games, Sports activities, theme nights and more are just a few things you will host to keep our Stingrays® busy and active!

Sharks®: Ages 9-11

You’ll lead our Sharks® through scavenger hunts, video game competitions, sports games, and much more!

Night Owls

Remember when you got to stay up late as a kid? Our Night Owls program is late night fun for kids ages 2-11. You’ll host late night parties to keep the kids entertained until 1am.

Get the party rockin’ for our 12 - 17 year olds. You’ll be their shipboard influencer of FUN!

Circle “C®”: Ages 12 - 14

As the host of a variety of activities, you’ll make our teen’s parents wish they could join in the fun too! You’ll break the ice for the teens and entertain them with Karaoke, Video Games, Trivia, Dance Parties and more!

Club O2®: Ages 15 - 17

You will be trending all over social media as you host dodge ball tournaments, dance parties, trivia showdowns, and more with our 15-17 year olds!

You’ll host Family Activities that will be FUN for everyone!

Family Trivia

You will challenge our families to a trivia game that everyone can enjoy!

Family Scavenger Hunt

Just as you get to know the ship our guests will need to get to know the ship as well! You will run many scavenger hunts to see who can find all the goodies stashed on board!

Sail Away

At the end of your contract you’ll be able to put “Line Dance Professional” on your resume. You’ll join the rest of the Entertainment team for a party on deck to get the cruise off to a great start!

Seuss at Sea Activities

You’ll discover the fun world of Dr. Seuss®! Our youth staff bring the beloved books to life with themed activities and games.

Our valued partners enhance our children’s programming.

You will get the opportunity to work with our partners every day onboard.

What We’re Looking For

  • Two years of experience working with large groups of children required, e.g. sports coaches, YMCA or overnight camp staff, or daycare/school teachers
  • Fun, energetic candidates who adapt easily to change and think outside the box
  • Ability to take direction, collaborate, and also work individually
  • 21+ years of age required
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently
  • CPR and First Aid training preferred
  • Experience with animation, costume, or mascot is a plus

Youth/Camp Staff Frequently Asked Questions

You will report to the Youth Director.

Youth staff will be accommodated in a double-occupancy cabin which includes bunk beds, closet, desk, TV and bathroom (shower, sink, cabinet, toilet). The cabins also have plugs for charging electronics and reading lights over the beds. The cabin is cleaned once a week by a member of the housekeeping team.

Your uniform (day time and elegant) will be provided to you onboard. It is your responsibility to keep it in presentable condition and to take it with you for future contracts. Youth Staff are required to bring their own shoes (blue for Camp Ocean staff and red for Circle C & Club O2).
Extra duties aside from your standard role can include greeting the families, embarkation events, debarkation duties and various safety trainings and drills.
No, but you will receive time off each day to relax and often extended time on port days to explore the ports of call.
